Rigger

1. Responsible to control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings of confined spaces, using chain blocks or other equipment.
2. Safely align, level, and anchor machinery and ensure all loads are attached to rigging equipment to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.
3. Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
4. Safely control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
5. Responsible for the fabrication, repair rigging, supporting structures, hoists, and pulling gear, using hand and power tools.
6. Safely select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
