JUNIOR TECHNICIAN - ELECTRICAL

1. Gain experience in all aspects of workplace related practices and DP World safety standards.

2. Develop skills and build on knowledge to carry out planned maintenance on all items of plant and equipment.

3. To provide maximum operational availability of equipment by conducting periodic diagnostic work and repairs, through understanding of electrical/electronic fundamentals and PLC.

4. To keep the Supervisor and other experienced technicians informed of progress & problems to ensure smooth flow of communication.

5. To maintain tidiness and cleanliness of workshop facilities and all equipment thereby creating a safe and healthy work environment.

6. Gain knowledge and hands on experience on how to carry out fault diagnosis on the equipment and ascertain the cause of defects, repair methods, and spare part requirements.

7. Get familiarized in the methods of being able to select the correct parts, and obtain technical information from the manufactures parts and technical manuals.

8. Be able to carry out the above duties with guidance and supervision of more experienced technicians and independently where applicable.

9. Start on a foundation to build on knowledge across DPW Engineering sections, inclusive of plant & crane as well as mechanical elements.
