What you will do
The Director – Sales, Service & Marketing will lead the commercial strategy, planning and execution process, reporting directly to the Regional General Manager & Vice President. This senior leadership position will drive commercial excellence execution to attain our strategic growth priorities in market share capture, service revenue expansion and digital transformation.
Within our matrixed organization, the successful candidate will work collaboratively to define strategy and lead the execution cadence of our go-to market process and programmes. The sales community reports into the relevant P&L;structures and the successful candidate will bring sufficient gravitas to inspire and influence, alongside the senior team, to evolve an environment for growth. It is therefore critical the successful candidate can collaborate, communicate and operate flexibly at all levels within a large corporate environment. The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role within the region, being a member of the business senior leadership team, but will also be an active member of the EMEALA commercial leadership team, and will engage in enterprise communities/forums/programmes, contributing to their creation, and leading deployment/owning the success of such activities into the region.
As the voice of the Customer and the senior commercial lead, you will ensure market dynamics and trends are kept front and center in all discussions, create effective Customer success programmes and drive a customer first culture, to get ahead and stay ahead of the competition.
How you will do it
* Lead strategy development, planning and execution cadence for our growth platforms of commercial excellence, services enabled by digital technologies and new solution introductions (support also to M&A;activity)
* Champion Customer success and create environments in the region to understand Customer insights and market dynamics with a responsibility to proactively develop programmes for continuous improvement
* Collaborate with the regional senior team to develop commercial priorities to build, drive and own the regional commercial plan (bottoms up plan for secured order attainment) including how to improve customer retention, acquisition and wallet share capture
* Be accountable for commercial execution to actively work with regional leaders (across all functions and business units) to attain, sustain and improve specific action

What we look for
Required
* Bachelor degree ideally in a related subject to our core portfolio or commercially; with minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in commercial, sales and/or leadership roles in Building Technologies Solutions (HVAC, Building Automation & Controls, Fire, and Security)
* Passion for growth and customer excellence, with experience in building effective programmes to drive above-market performance in Customer retention, acquisition and expansion
* Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills and presents convincingly to peers, executives, partners, and customers with an added ability to inspire/motivate in-business teams
* Demonstrable experience in leading complex strategies, and large programmes across diverse communities with above-market performance
* Proven positive contributions in matrix designed organizations to organization health, and cultural improvements
* Good knowledge of commercial technologies & platforms, with demonstrable experience in how to drive effective utilization and return on such investments
* Willingness to travel in the region regularly and consistently, potential some out of region requirements
