The Business Consultant is responsible for supporting the Regional Solutions Consultants across EMEA to drive value focused engagements with their customers at the C-level. He/She will conduct diagnostic workshops/ studies with customers to identify their needs and frame a digital transformation roadmap that will deliver significant value to their operations. He/She will work with the regional sales, global Product Managers, the Proposal & Estimates team, the EMEA HCP leadership to identify, develop & convert Connected plant opportunities in his region.
The successful candidate will have the right balance of technical & commercial skills to successfully lead this role. He should demonstrate a passion for winning, an ability to think big & make it happen, an entrepreneurial mindset, the flexibility to cope with change, creativity and the drive to deliver stretched targets in a dynamic environment.
Role Responsibilities:
C-level engagements & presentation
Understand the customer’s operating model and value levers
Assess the customer’s Digital Transformation plan and link with Honeywell Solutions
Develop a storyline for C-level interactions
Prepare and lead presentations with Regional consultant
Diagnostic workshop & studies
Frame objective & workplan for customer diagnostic exercise (could range between a free half-day workshop and a commercial multi-month engagement)
Write diagnostic consulting proposals
Lead the diagnostic study team (typical engagement management role with 2-5 team members) – and be the main focal point for customers during the study
Consolidate final report including gap analysis, recommendations, adoption roadmap, etc
Support follow-up actions with internal teams on individual initiative development
Business development
Develop innovative Go-to-Market approaches and test them with customers (e.g., customer segmentation, etc.)
Identify potential new opportunities based on industry knowledge, best practice from the pole or other poles
Support sales in pipeline development (e.g., demo, conference)
Track value delivery of on-going contracts and consolidate (sometimes build) case studies
Internal Connected Transformation agent (10-15% of time)
Support broader organization to shift from traditional product to value focused selling
Share best practice & case studies
Conduct webex/ training (when required)

Background and Experience:
This role will require business consulting skills to diagnose customer operations performance, identify operation excellence levers, estimate impact on plant EBITDA and develop a value proposition to address that. It will also require to quickly develop a broad understanding of the HCI technology portfolio and competing technologies in the market. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience that could include a combination of management consulting, engineering, working for industrial customers (ideally in O&G;, metals & mining)

An undergraduate degree in, business or technical discipline is required. An MBA is highly desirable
The ideal candidate would have worked for a combination of an Automation/ industrial company and a Management Consulting company (System integrators, management consultancies)
