Opportunity

Parsons is the Project Consultant for the construction supervision of a large infrastructure project in UAE. Scope of work includes roads, highway intersections, bridges and other structures, electrical (HV and LV) networks, potable water network, sewerage network, storm water drainage network and other infrastructure.

Position Overview

Provides expertise to identify design and construction interfaces and support senior interface engineer in the development of a resolution strategy to minimize the impact of identified interfaces on the overall program delivery. This position is focused on assessing interfaces and work closely with the Design, construction and contracts teams to identity the most effective and economical way to resolve them.

Job Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Contracts team regarding ability to transfer work between construction packages.
• Liaise with interface design change engineer regarding design changes and transfer packages.
• Performs engineering reviews of the interfaces and provides technical assessments and recommendation to eliminate interfaces.
• Advises senior Interface engineer and other members of the delivery team of potential impacts in relation to identified interfaces.
• Maintain the interface management log and supports the maintenance and tracking of Interfaces. Support the develop Monthly Reports highlight critical interfaces.
• Support the senior interface engineer and coordinates with the design consultant(s) when proposed interfaces/design change documentations are not fully compliance to expedite the review and approval process.
• Assist the senior interface engineer with escalating critical interfaces to management to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist and performs interface engineering assessment and coordinates the review with other project team members to facilitate a comprehensive analysis.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate under the direction of the senior interface engineer.

المهارات
• Bachelor degree in Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years of related work experience preferably in large-scale development projects where general design and construction supervision services were performed.
• Dubai-UAE experience is preferred.
• Incumbent must have a broad general technical and construction background to facilitate the design change assessments in a timely manner.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong assessment and problem solving skills.
• High attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction or oversight.
• Good knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
• Excellent written, presentation and oral communications skills.
