Hiring HVAC MEP Estimation Engineer
Required Experience: 7 Years +
Job Description:
• Initial Study of the project which includes contract documents, drawings, BOQ and other related documents
• Determine discrepancies in tender documents and obtain clarifications from the Client / Consultant.
• Preparing project brief which includes Budget price, Contractual and Technical details and having discussions with Tendering manager about the project.
• Material takeoff for HVAC, Plumbing & Firefighting from the given tender drawings.
• Identification of Subcontractors and Suppliers and advice Junior Engineer for floating inquiries, follow up and collecting quotations.
• Coordination with Subcontractors and Suppliers for Clarification with received Quotation.
• Updating market prices and making detailed comparative statement of Subcontractor& obtain quotations for major
• Preparing detailed BOQ check list, coordinating, supervising and comparing the quantity take off by QS
• Pricing the items in Bill of Quantities using Estimation Software by building up the unit cost by complying Specifications.
• Updating the Man Hour Productivity with the Site and building up the productivity of Man hours as per the site information (Planning Department).
• Preparing the tender proposal includes technical considerations, exclusions, and other details for final discussion.
• Negotiating through Value Engineering for cost saving without affecting technical aspects of project requirements.
• Communicating with subcontractors/Suppliers for negotiation of price during value engineering.
• Attending Post Tender meetings with Client/Consultant and preparing clarifications, if any.
• Coordinating with the Procurement Department, if the Work Awarded.
• Preparing the Budget for the project by having interaction with the Cost control department.
• Analysis of Project Estimate during Tender Stage, execution stage and Completion stage and preparing the
• Expectations and deviations based on the same.
• Good knowledge in authority regulations like DEWA, Civil defense, Dubai municipality & Green building regulations.
