The Account Manager is the person in charge of managing a company’s relationships with its customers. They are in charge of building long-term relationships with a group of customers and generally stay with customers for the length of their relationship with the company. The goal is to retain customers as long as possible. Account managers may be in charge of finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks may involve project management, strategic planning, sales support, product design, service application, logistics, and marketing.

Roles and Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of Key publisher accounts, monitoring their overall performance, identifying opportunities for growth and areas of risk, and troubleshooting problems that may arise
Develop, cement, and maintain strong partnerships with customers in the media and publishing industry.
Negotiate long-term contracts to lock up deals
Scout for new use cases and understand customer objectives well to build deeper integration with the customer’s marketing stack.
Devise innovative solutions to achieve the highest ROI for the customer and secure incremental revenue.
Closely analyze performance data to identify trends and suggest appropriate actions during monthly and quarterly business reviews.
Track product adoption and work proactively with the product team to channelize customer feedback.
Work closely with the sales team to grow the account by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Flag issues to the support team to get them resolved.
Collaborate with the marketing team to publish and promote case studies, podcasts, webinars, etc.
Open to work with the team in different timezones
