Interior Designer

RMJM is seeking to appoint an Interior Designer to support the continued growth of our Dubai Studio.
Responsibilities will include:
• Give structure to and lead the concept development and design process
• Create, prepare, and present design concepts for the review of senior interior designer
• Clear identification and formulation of the task, including definition of a project strategy likely to lead to success
• Development of the essential project idea and strong interior concepts
• Create detailed specifications and drawings, including floor plans, bespoke installations, joinery, and architectural details for all design stages
• Produce design documents and schedules from concept design to installation
• Prepare convincing presentation and communication of interior designs and concepts
• Research products and material specifications and investigate suitability for use
• Act as liaison between the design firm and vendors
• Preparation of lighting, electrical, finishes and furniture plans and schedules
Ideally with the following qualifications and skills:
• Bachelor of Architecture or Bachelor of Interior Design
• Minimum of eight years’ post undergraduate experience
• Ability to work effectively in large project teams
• Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
• Proven experience producing detailed drawings packages, schedules and specifications
• Good knowledge of FF&E;& joinery and construction detailing
• Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service sensibilities
• Exceptional level of attention to detail and a mastery of organizational and time management skills
