Project / Package Manager -ICT

What Will You Be Doing Every Single Day?

· Ensure a safe working environment on site for all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, Clients and visitors. Lead the achievement of company and Global Major Project safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences

· Own the project schedule and ensure timely delivery in terms of cost, specifications, and client satisfaction.

· Provide technical guidance to the site, and resolve critical site issues.

· Implement the company and Global Major Projects QA/QC procedures and ensure works meet quality standards and specifications.

· Assess progress, productivity, commercial performance and implement action for improvement pre-emptively.

· Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate work schedules, daily and weekly metrics and reporting data.

· Work with construction manager and site supervisors to ensure smooth sequential working and coordination with interfacing/adjacent contractors.

· Pro-actively manage the Design function of assigned works package be it internal Honeywell or external agencies.

· Ensure the keeping of accurate and up-to-date daily records of site progress and key issues through site diaries.

· Provide input on all GMP-related VO’s and contractual claims ensuring that the construction-related substantiation in notifications and follow-up is clearly defined, accurate and demonstrable.

· Ensure the physical completion of works packages in all respects to facilitate handover and acceptance.

· Follow up and track all Retention and Defects Liability Period punch-lists/snags to ensure close out of work packages and release of retention monies.

· Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Ensure use of Honeywell project processes and tools

· Developing trust and managing the relationship with customers and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained, maintain customer relationships at the appropriate senior level

· Define all subcontract /supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary

· Deliver to the financial objectives for the project and control billing and costs for the project. Drive project team to maintain Estimated Actual Cost at Completion.

· Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell’s risk exposure is minimised and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.

· Ensure the design solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.

· Maintain the financial position of the project using Honeywell’s accounting systems.

· Devising and implementing risk management programs and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies are implemented and communicating these to management on a regular basis

· Lead the design and development of the Security packages including Infrastructure, Networking, Integration, and Software Development by interpreting scope requirements and implementing technical solutions.

· Drive the project team to minimise the cost of labour in delivering a successful project through the use of low cost resources while minimising defects and rework.

· Coordination and control of the change management process both technical and commercial

Where Do You Fit In?

We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Project/ Program Manager – ICT Packages - Honeywell Building Technologies to be based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned project.  This requires preparing, planning, executing and controlling all aspects of the project either directly or through delegation with the project team.  Successful delivery requires monitoring and controlling financials, works schedule, resources (including subcontractors) as well as managing the project stakeholders (internal and external).

What Skills and Experience Will You Have?

· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Information Technology / ELV Systems (Preferred)

· Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous

· Tertiary qualifications in Project Management are preferred

· Proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting and planning on large scale ICT related projects in excess of $5 - 10M

· Demonstrated leadership experience in the directing and managing of specialist multi-skilled technical and professional staff within a diverse and complex project environment. Building/construction experience preferred.

· Demonstrated experience in safety and safety management on large commercial and infrastructure projects

· Proven ability to develop and lead a team

· Capacity to deliver against multiple and competing objectives.

· Demonstrable customer relation skills

· Proven commercial/contractual acumen

· Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of the application of ICT design principles for business and IT system projects.

· Proven ability to negotiate, engage, monitor and manage ICT contractors.

· Ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships and strong business & stakeholder engagement experience.

· Strong effective communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to inspire trust of management, staff, diverse clients and stakeholders.

· Have well-developed people management skills including the ability to motivate and the ability to be a flexible and firm negotiator

· Self-motivated, goal orientated, determine own work priorities, ability to meet deadlines and works well under pressure.

· Be proficient in the execution of risk management, issue management and scope management processes

· Strong interpersonal skills needed for interfacing with high-level internal stakeholders, external clients, and geographically, culturally and linguistically diverse employees to ensure lowest cost, lowest risk and best value engineered solutions.

· Excellent computer, presentation and technical writing skills.

· Strong command and control skills to manage through internal and customer challenges.

· Ability to work effectively in a virtual engineering group environment.

· A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.

· Proficient in the use of Project Planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
