• Maintaining relationships with suppliers and strategic partners to ensure they are providing high-quality services.
• Conducting market research to identify potential suppliers, products, and services to meet an organization’s needs.
• Coordinating with other departments within the organization to determine needs and priorities.
• Developing and managing long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient operation of the organization’s supply chain.
• Ensuring that products and services purchased meet the needs of the organization, are cost effective, and are delivered in a timely manner
• Managing the procurement department staff—including hiring, training, and disciplining employees—to ensure that they are performing their jobs effectively.
