Application Engineer (Tower Crane)

Technical sales support for the GCC and Asian markets. Support sales group with the selection of systems and configurations and layout drawings appropriate to customer requests.
Assist customers in the evaluation of proper tower crane configurations, loading, climbing sequences, and load calculation to support the customers.
Engineering support for construction and special projects, including schematic CAD drawings and feasibility studies as well as analyzing special installations not covered by cranes documentation.
Provide customers with assessments, guidance, and repair procedures in cases of damage and/or non-standard circumstances.
Analyze tower cranes based on various design specifications according to customer specifications or local authorities.
Management of special crane engineering projects in GCC Countries and Asia/Pacific.
Preparation of procedures for assembly/disassembly of tower cranes for incorporation into customer schedules.
Prepare miscellaneous drawings, analyses, documentation and reports as required to support the WOLFFKRAN product line
Create configuration sheets for tower cranes based on contractual and engineering requirements.

المهارات
Degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships
Accuracy, reliability, and flexibility
Experience in the lifting industry is an advantage
Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently while following corporate policies and procedures
Competent in the use of 2D CAD and 3D Solid Modelling software, ideally AutoCAD
Affinity for technical product expertise with tower cranes (capital equipment)
Experience working with an international multicultural business environment
Language fluency in English, German and Arabic would be added advantage
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations as well as
to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Know how to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and other intercompany personnel
Skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
In-depth knowledge of engineering, sales and tower crane applications is a plus
Willingness to travel (approx. 25%)
