Workshop Engineer (Fuel Systems)
Key responsibilities:
• Evaluate the condition of products/components/parts required to be replaced etc. against OEM specifications, company inspection criteria’s & internationally recognized standards.
• Generate detailed initial inspection reports, internal work scopes and supplier work scopes.
• Rebuild and test products/components in accordance with OEM specification and company procedures.
• Generate detailed rebuild & test reports and final inspection reports.
• Ensure details, testing criteria and readings obtained are correct and are passed on for verification/checked against OEM specifications, company inspection criteria’s & internationally recognized standards.
• Use of specialist test rigs such as airflow, liquid fuel, compressor, hydraulic, flow divider, drive bench/pump.
• Safe use of lifting equipment, such as: Manual & motorized pallet trucks, A-Frame crane and overhead crane.
• Ensure a clean and tidy work area & environment is maintained, adhering to 5S (where applicable) during all working activities.
• Use of standard metrology and inspection equipment.
• Ensure design standards are maintained and contribute to procedural improvements of standard and non-standard operating procedures and product development.
• Update and manage the accuracy of product bill of materials and the related product folders.
• Maintain and improve all product technical, information and fixtures boxes.
• Manage project milestones and documentation transmissions.
• Provide engineering support and guidance to the workshop team.
Key Skills/ Qualifications:
• Engineering diploma/Time served apprenticeship or Engineering degree.
• 2-5 years’ experience of working within a factory environment is desirable.
• Must have proven teamwork/ skills
• Experience of repair and service of gas turbine components, maintenance of similar product
• Experience of working within a gas turbine testing environment would be advantageous.
• A good working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems is essential.
• Planning and organizational skills
Additional Notes:
• Preference given to UAE driving license holders.
• Role may progress into Supervisory position.
