A leading player in the construction and infrastructure sector, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join our dynamic team. Responsibitlies:
• Lead the procurement process for construction, road, and infrastructure projects from initiation to contract award.
• Conduct market analysis to identify potential suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring a competitive and cost-effective procurement strategy.
• Evaluate and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, emphasizing quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide procurement support.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to ensure a reliable and diverse vendor base.
• Develop and implement procurement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize the procurement function.
• Monitor and manage procurement budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer in the UAE, specifically in construction, road, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage and optimize supplier relationships.
• In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and UAE market dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with local regulations and industry standards.
