Production Engineer (Mechanical and Piping)

Overall Purpose of Role:
Ensure that Mechanical, Piping and Pressure testing tasks are planned organized and executed safety, within budget and according to schedule and in line with Lamprell Policies and Procedures within the Lamprell Group Management System (LGMS).

Primary Responsibilities, Authorities & Accountabilities:
In conjunction with HSES ensure that all aspects of Mechanical/Piping content of projects are executed safely and in compliance with HSES responsibilities. Confirming to company policies and procedures.
Effective and consistent interaction with other discipline Supervisors, foreman, charge hands and workforce (especially the relevant discipline) around safety related issues. Weekly TBT’s and implement Safe Start, Shields for Life, Take 5 daily is required.
Ensure compliance with all applicable information security policies and procedures.
Maintain and develop a safe working environment therefore contributing to the overall aims of the company with respect to HSES.
Coordinate and monitor material take-off activities, identify irregularities, discrepancies and shortfalls and take corrective actions as required.
Preparation of inquiry requisitions to vendor, carry out technical bid evaluations and issue purchase project related material requisitions.
Provides accurate manpower availability interaction to scheduling to aid weekly and long term schedules.
Attending weekly Project meeting and Engineering/Procurement interface meetings.
Liaise with PM and CM with reference to project production issues.
Coordinating with supervisors for solving various technical issues at site etc.
Liaise with PEM and PPM with reference to project related Engineering and Materials issues.
Report Engineering - Procurement deliverable delays to Project management team and Follow up with concerned department.
Liaise with QC coordinator/ Inspectors and assist with monitoring quality related issues.
Attending daily construction meetings and highlight or solve issues.
Follow up and monitoring of ITR completion.
Liaise with Commissioning Manager/Engineers with reference to commission related issues.
Responsible in submitting As-built drawings to QC as per engineering requirements.
Coordinating with Subcontractors/ Vendor for the execution of subcontract works.
Co-ordinate / liaise with other Production/ Project Engineers as required.
Assist and monitor material coordinator for materials issuance process.
Raise PRF and Issue register related with site issues.
Checking project scope of work and required input data in order to create an efficient work pack.
Liaise with Preservation Engineer in maintaining the preservation consumables, execution of preservation work and update progress report.
Monitor the preparation of all necessary documents up to final IFC stage such as piping plans including pressure testing, isometrics, material specifications and other relevant drawings and specifications.
Coordinating with pipe shop and ensuring fabrication is carrying out as per erection requirement.
Ensures implementation of the project specific procedures for the safe and efficient execution of construction projects.
Reviewed and recommend bid package evaluations on valves and pipes.
Coordinates with Construction Manager and supervise the preparation of test activity to ensure all deficiencies are identified and punch lists are prepared.
Responsible to ensure the construction of the systems is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests being carried out for all test packages.
Coordinates and monitors the hydro tests and reports on the completion of hydro tests.
