Senior Quantity Surveyor for Petrol Stations

الوصف الوظيفي
1. Minimise cost expenditure and maximise revenue income and profitability.

2. Assist and support the Commercial Manager and Project Manager / Director in preparation and submittal for Senior Management approval of the Project Budget to Build.

3. Verification and checking of Bills of Quantities (BOQ’s) (prepared by Tender team) for the purpose of preparing and floating supplier / sub-contractor enquiries.

4. Identify any conflicts / discrepancies in Contract documents (drawings, specifications & BOQ) and escalate to Commercial Manager / Project Manager / Director for resolution and / or clarification with Consultants.

5. In conjunction with the Commercial Manager and Project Manager / Project Director, prepare, compile and float enquiries to suppliers and sub-contractors as per project requirements, specifications and specified vendor list.

6. Review and evaluate supplier and sub-contractor tender returns.

7. Each month review and evaluate sub-contractor Applications for Payment for the purpose of external Applications for Payment and internal cost reporting.

8. As a minimum every month, reconcile direct company labour performance and utilisation; compare actual expenditure against measured work and preliminary allowances in the Contract.

9. Compile month end costs including suppliers, sub-contractors and materials.

10. Input into and assist with preparation of monthly Applications for Payment to Client.

11. Input into and assist with preparation of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR’s) for submittal to Senior Management.

12. Identify and highlight all / any project risks.

13. Identify, document and escalate to Commercial Manager / Project manager / Director all Project risks including all / any potential and / or actual variations and / or Project delays.

14. Monitor and supervise junior commercial staff.

المهارات
Minimum 5 to 10 years with an acceptable main Contractor or which 5+ years should be with a Middle East (preferably UAE) main Contractor as Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor.

Skills: Quantity take-offs, subcontract management, procurement, variations (notification & pricing), risk management, monthly applications / reporting (internal & external)

Knowledge: Construction feedback & Fluent English, speaking & Writing
