• Identifying project leads and developing business opportunities into project orders & contracts.
• Developing new clients and maintaining relations with existing clients and accounts.
• Manage key proposals from initiation to completion
• Plans, organizes and schedules activities to meet objectives. Ensures that these are well-documented and communicated to the management.
• Continuously keeps track of new or upcoming large, proposal opportunities announced by the ministry.
• Reports new opportunities and updating the progress on the opportunities regularly to the COO to plan in advance.
• Once assigned to a proposal, meet with the concerned to develop a coordination plan that includes management of the schedule, technical contents, budget plan, and all other proposal requirements announced by the ministry; become fully familiar with opportunity requirements, gather additional information available through direct and indirect contacts, and be familiar with working on deadlines.
• During the proposal development phase, works closely with the proposal team, within and outside the company, to collect technical and supplemental information in a timely manner to ensure meeting all milestones and internal and external deadlines; provides calendar of deliverables to proposal team and compels the team to follow it closely. Schedules meetings and conference calls as needed to advance the proposal.
• During the proposal development phase, works closely with the COO and other concerned departments to ensure all budget items are obtained and organized in a timely manner to ensure meeting all milestones and internal and external deadlines; this includes all cost-share items.
• Serves as a key resource for proposal information and resolves problems or questions referred by internal and external sources.
• Coordinates multiple work streams.
• Works with the proposal team members, to ensure the proposal technical contents are cohesive and that the documentation done are crisp and professional
• Supports more advanced stages of the proposal cycle, including but not limited to site visit preparation.
• During project solicitation years (roughly every other year,) oversees the process for selection of new projects (includes coordination with company management and ministry on managing the proposal submission and review process, communication of the progress of each stage with the COO, handling budget negotiations and updates).
