Role Summary
Responsible for assessing or determining liability, negotiating payments and minimizing the number of fraudulent claims. Provide expert analysis and advice relating to settlement and value of claims made
Key Accountabilities
1. Loss Adjuster Duties
· Investigate and process insurance claims filed by policyholders
· Gather information from sources, such as police reports.
· Interview claimant and witnesses to gather pertinent information.
· Inspect vehicles damage to determine extent of damages.
· Verify that coverage applies through an insurance policy.
· Examine photographs and statements.
· Listen to or watch audio or video surveillance.
· Evaluate all information to determine how claim should be handled.
· Negotiate with claimant to settle claim.
· Work with attorneys to defend insurer’s position is claim is contested.
· Issue payout amounts.
· Prepare and present claims to insurance companies.
· Consult with specialists such as mechanical engineers.
2. Administration Process
· Hard Folders to be filed in the appropriate filing cabinet. Soft folders within the electronic directory or as appropriate after diary date and time has been set in consultation with the direct supervisor as noted in the correspondence.
· Update and maintain department records / data management in the approved filing system and ensure it is maintained in standards for audit.
· Prepare standard reports, templates, dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and metrics, monthly and year-end reports as requested by direct supervisor team.
· Enter information into computerized cases calendar for daily monitoring
· Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; monitoring calendars; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database.
· Verify that all files or other papers are available and in the proper order
· Track and keep record of all courts decisions regarding the motor claims
· Ensuring all required documents are available such as civil id, registration, etc.
3. Employee Relation
· Assist in maintaining a disciplined and motivated work climate across the team and business in general.
· Assist in creating a high performing work environment for the business.
· Respond to internal & external employee related queries, requests, issues and provide assistance.
The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and you may be required to undertake other responsibilities and training as requested by your line manager, appropriate to your grade and commensurate with the business need.

Experience
1 – 2 years of experiences in related filed ( Motors)
Qualifications & Skills
· Education: Bachelor degree in relevant filed ( engineering, risk management, business, law or finance
· The ability to use all office applications.
· Communication: The ability to communicate information and ideas in spoken and written words so others will understand.
· Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
· Time Management: Ability to plan, priorities and co-ordinate tasks and resources.
· Confidentiality: Able to handle with highly confidential information.
· Must be detail oriented.
· Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to interact effectively.
· Bilingual - Preferable
