MAJOR ROLE
The Area Manager will take full responsibility for management of all assigned restaurants to ensure achievement of sales targets and maintain profit margin while successfully ensuring highest levels of Guest satisfaction.
Overall accountability of the assigned area outlets including but not limited to P&L;, fulfillment of targets, SOP’s and polices of the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operational
Daily briefing sessions with direct reports in the assigned area.
Make sure that all Managers/supervisors have a clear understanding of their target and are in the same business objective and direction.
Set up a restaurant management plan to ensure expense is within the budget or as planned.
Monitor restaurant’s performance and measure the achievement of Sales Target of each assigned restaurant to ensure that all restaurants have clear target on a daily and monthly basis.
Solve problems and provide proper direction to increase profits to the restaurants.
Manages all aspects of the daily operations of the assigned area & outlets; takes manager-on- duty shifts as assigned.
Provide hands on leadership on the floor and respond to customer concerns.
Monitor service, guest satisfaction, and the correct flow of service in the restaurant to maintain the highest level of Quality, Service, and guest satisfaction.
Maintain expert knowledge of all restaurants within area of responsibility to effectively lead staff, uphold standards, and respond to guest questions and concerns.
Assist the Operations Manager to proactively manage and improve service standards, marketing strategies, guest comments/concerns and menus.
Review P&L;, daily sales, analyze sales trends and identify restaurants that have negative sales gaps, and work with restaurant manager to identify action plan to close the gaps.
Ensure that all team members are well trained and passed all training processes.
Coach and develop leadership skills of restaurant managers and make sure that they can apply the knowledge and skills to enhance business performance.
Handle customer complaints and ensure issues or problems have been completely solved
Set up customer relationship network to build up the Brand and create awareness and customer loyalty in the located area
Work, and develop relationships, with external suppliers to ensure the very best reputation within the industry, and receives the service required to ensure that the operational Food and Beverage team can deliver the highest quality product, and the highest financial return.
Consistently review products delivered to ensure KPIs are met and take up any shortcomings with suppliers.
Assist the F&B;Operations Manager in achieving all financial and budget goals.
Ensure all cost controls for food and labor are being achieved to enable a positive budget result.
Initiates corrective and improvement actions as needed or upon the direction of the Operations Manager.
Motivates employees to continually seek improvement in their individual performances.
Maintains effective communication with all employees and staff members.
Informs the Operations Manager of all developments arising within the area daily.
Adheres to and enforces specific F&B;policies and procedures as well as corporate policies and procedures, including operations, safety, attendance and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment
People management
Assist in reviewing, planning and implement the organizational chart, staffing and rostering as per the business needs ensuring a low-cost & high profit operational manning plan.
Ensure that job descriptions and KPI’s for all department staff reflect the actual job responsibility as per operational needs.
Assist the Ops Manager in developing on-going professional development and training programs for food production, service and production/service personnel.
Provide constant leadership, counselling, advice and feedback to their peers.
Cultivate an environment of openness and trust, with constant feedback and performance coaching
Reporting
Thoroughly researches the ERP system and assists the Ops Manager to generate reports which provide high level of financial visibility.
Prepares and assures to submit various daily and monthly reports to F&B;Operations Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality / Culinary Arts / any related discipline.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of successful, high sales volume, operational management experience in in Casual / Fine Dining concepts with proven track record of achievements.
Working knowledge of MS Office, any ERP, Restaurant management software, POS, and any ERP).
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, and strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Strong ability to train and enforce brand and company standards
