To formulate and lead the implementation of the QSSC strategy in line with QIG’s vision, mission and corporate objectives. Ensure that the overall strategy is translated into annual operational business plans for QSS and the performance is monitored annually to ensure business plans are in line with the overall strategy. -To Lead the effective achievement of functional objectives through leadership of QSSC and by setting of individual objectives, managing performance, recruiting qualified staff, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximise subordinate and departmental performance. -To Define an optimum organisation structure and direct the development of functional structures so that resources are optimally utilised and communication can take place in an efficient manner. -To Direct the preparation and consolidation of QSS budgets including the projected cash flows for projects as well as the general expenses and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues, areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified and potential performance improvement opportunities are capitalised upon. -To Monitor operational business performance against strategic objectives by regular management review to ensure that objectives are achieved and required corrective actions taken in an efficient and timely manner. -To Oversee the design and implementation of standard operational processes for QSS business requirements to ensure the delivery of services in the most efficient manner. Ensure the effective planning and allocation of all resources and implementation of appropriate standards and controls to ensure that all company activities are carried out in an efficient and cost-effective manner, meeting or exceeding the overall growth and profitability targets of QSSC. -To Develop, obtain approval from the BOD and ensure the implementation of the short and long term business plans and direct the preparation of annual operational plans and operating budgets to enable the achievement of set business plans. - To Lead and monitor all project management processes to ensure projects are managed within project parameters of scope, cost, time, quality, functionality, safety & environmental standards, all in accordance with set standards. -Continuously review the progress for improvement in project management processes and project performance in order to recommend changes where necessary. -To Lead the provision of advice and recommendations to senior management, the board based on thorough research and analysis performed by the team to ensure that the management is fully aware of the financial and economical viability of the projects and opportunities and is thus enabled to make informed decisions based on the suitability and compatibility of those opportunities to QSSC overall strategy. -To Maintain an extensive network of political, business and trade contacts to ensure that QSSC is optimally placed in its understanding of political, economic and commercial environments and challenges. -To Manage external stakeholders such as government, regulatory bodies etc. and other relevant institutions and authorities and strategic partners/investors in order to ensure that the appropriate level of external services are obtained to the best advantage of the company meeting all obligations for such services. -To Manage and maintain the relationships with current and potential customers to continuously ensure customer satisfaction and proper delivery of services as per the agreements between the parties. -To Manage and provide advice on the development and implementation of appropriate training plans and schedules for the all employees to ensure that all project requirements and specifications will be met successfully according to initial plans. -To Liaise with the relevant department to identify and analyse training and development needs, requirements and delivery style to ensure the most cost effective and training is achieved. Assist in the management and development of customised training and development plans and programs to meet the training needs identified that support the achievement of business objectives to improve organization effectiveness and capabilities across the entire workforce. -To Direct the development and oversee the implementation of QSSC policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service in a consistent manner. -To Direct the compliance of all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the function to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
