System Operator Engineer (For a client of Ppldynamics)

الوصف الوظيفي
As an IBM DC Systems Operator, you will be carrying out the day to day operational activities on all application systems to support business. You have to execute the tasks as defined in the SOP following daily checklist.
Carry out data processing activities on all application systems to support business.
Execute End of Day processes, monitor and take appropriate actions in case of errors.
Carry out tasks as per daily checklist and SOP
Respond to user queries as relating to the state of various systems in Data Centre Operations.
Generate daily, weekly, monthly and adhoc reports (and their email equivalent) for distribution.
Notify NOC to log incidents in case of issues.
Escalation of issues to application support team for quick resolution.
Monitor daily backups and take action in case of failures.
Perform manual server restarts as per schedule time frame
Carry out Adhoc activities such as Equation Library backup/Entire System backup and IPL (Initial program load) of IBM P720 machine on scheduled basis & on demand.
