IT Technical Specialist

This is a role suitable to an enthusiastic IT Graduate wishing to join a growing organisation and rapidly build their technical experience.  The role involves both specialist healthcare technology and general IT tasks.  This position is open to Qatari nationals and residents only.
General Duties:
o Provide advice and support to IIS corporate IT development & operations.
o Provide expert IT advice to IIS project managers.
o Investigate, design and project manage IT development & implementation.
o Establish IIS IT policies that promote good IT practices within the organisation.
o Ensure regulatory compliance of all IIS IT activities.
o Effectively manage staff, vendors, clients and partners as required.
o Lead junior employees and encourage maximum performance & dedication.
o Participate in expansion activities (tenders, investments, acquisitions, partnerships)
o Manage relationships with IT partners and contracts with IT vendors.
o Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
Specific Duties
o The Diabetes Hospital – Working under direction of the Technical Director, support the project team in implementing the TDH IT Enterprise Architecture including network, hardware, software, configuration & training.
o The London Wellness Center – Working under direction of the Technical Director, support the project team to develop and implement the IT Enterprise Architecture.
o TPP SystmOne – Working under direction of the Technical Director, support the marketing, deployment and development of the SystmOne EMR platform and allied health technologies in Qatar.
o Future Healthcare Projects – lead the identification, feasibility and implementation of IT aspects of healthcare related projects including specialist applications, mobile working, selection and interface of software, training and security.
o Actively identify and pursue niche and profitable opportunities for IIS Holding in healthcare technology and other related areas.

Competences Required
Education
A Degree in an appropriate IT Discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology)
Additional relevant qualifications in Technology, Business Management, Project Management, IT Security, Health Informatics, Cloud Technologies, ITIL, Coding etc. are desirable.
Technical competences
Required - IT technical architecture (soft & hard).
Required - IT Security technology & management
Required - Application development
Required – IT project & vendor management
Required – IT support (ITIL)
Required – IT hardware & data center management
Desirable – Health systems (e.g. EMR, PACS, RIS)
Desirable – Health informatics & coding
A high level of written and verbal communication skills with regulators, customers and staff.
Previous experience
Required - minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience
Desirable - experience in healthcare.
Language required
Required - English
