With us you will be accountable for establishing and maintaining the strategic and operational capacity of supply chain at Vodafone Qatar, in alignment with business strategy and customer demand. The primary responsibilities are to deliver investment and spend optimisation, execute cost saving initiatives, manage purchasing, logistics and inventory procedures, and to ensure regulatory and internal governance compliance. Key metrics relating to these accountabilities are:
Category management of circa QR2bn spend
Purchasing commitments in excess of QR1.5bn
Demand planning and logistics of all products serving the full customer base
Key contributor in reducing co. working capital through creditor terms and inventory levels
Inventory management of trading and fixed asset stock in excess of QR100m
Highly significant contribution to company profitability, of at least QR 100m pa
Mitigation of risk through commercial negotiation of over 80% of company contracts
End-to-end management of the company Tendering process for the award of all business to vendors
The key outcomes expected, include delivering substantial and sustainable contributions to company profitability, to match delivery capability with customer demand whilst containing commercial risk. This requires leadership and management of the end-to-end supply chain function, in order to maintain excellent vendor relations and to maximise customer satisfaction, whilst operating the division within company budget constraints.

Apply if you have:
Educated to degree level in an engineering, technical, scientific or commercial field
Postgraduate qualification in business, supply chain or commerce
Procurement, supply chain or logistics qualification (or equivalent professional experience) from an internationally recognised Supply Chain body e.g. MCIPS
Over 10 years of experience working within Supply Chain at both a global and regional level
At least 6 years of work experience within the telecommunications or technology industry
A very strong background in SCM, with technical category knowledge and negotiation experience, enabling effective engagement with stakeholders and suppliers, on a local, regional and global level
Sound knowledge backed up by solid experience in the establishment and execution of global supply chains, warehousing and distribution, including international trading regulations and taxation considerations
Detailed technical knowledge of demand planning, forecasting, re-ordering protocols, inventory management practices, Sales & Operations Planning and customer delivery
Has successfully managed virtual teams
Extensive commercial and negotiation skills in a complex multinational environment, with the ability to manage a wide range of supplier relationships, from short term tactical relationships to long term strategic partnerships
Extensive experience with managing third party logistics (3PL and 4PL) service providers at all stages in the supply chain stream
