We need our engineers to be versatile, enthusiastic to work in highly flexible, teamoriented environment and who have exceptional communication, analytical and management skills.  This role is primarily to support the design functions on refurbishment and renovation of electrical equipment and systems.  In this role you may serve as a technical consultant in areas of specialty for management or the client. Many assignments involve CAE (computer aided engineering) / CAD (computer aided design) applications. Willingness to travel or relocate to supplier client or constructions site locations is expected.  Responsibilities:  Provide technical support and input (Electrical Disciplines) to the Engineering / Technical Manager on the strategy related to Electrical, sustainability, green building, and energy efficiency Review Electrical works and network layout drawings (11kV and 415kV) and obtain Kahramaa/Authority approvals for various Construction packages Design Electrical projects and infrastructure at various stages, in line with the approved design criteria and standards Conduct Value Engineering studies in order to identify and recommend areas for cost reduction from optimal re-design of projects and optimal quantity of required construction materials Interface with consultants, Local authorities, developers to monitor the status of the Projects and peruse the approvals Review, comment and validate any changes from approved tender documents proposed by • consultants / contractors. Review the cost and time impact submitted by consultants and advise the project head the actual impact and mitigation measures. Coordinate internally with project head and procurement department and assist them to obtain necessary approvals as per company procedures. Validate the Consultants proposals and advice management of the recommendation for appointment of Consultants Liaison with the consultants to make sure that the drawings and design are as per the local regulations and international standards and codes of safety and stability. Conduct the review, provide advice and recommendations for amendments to the design at various stages of the project Conduct due diligence of the consultant, contractor, suppliers etc.  to recommend Electrical service providers for the project Support in conducting technical analysis of tender bids Monitor and control the progress of the project and standard of the work delivered by the contractor and the consultant to ensure that the project specifications and approved parameters are met (Electrical aspect) Ensure the Project parameters for Electrical and Infrastructure projects are met in line with agreed project objectives e.g. time, costs and quality Conduct the review, provide advice and recommendations for amendments to the design at various stages of the project
المهارات
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8+ years of related work experience
Professional Engineer registration is required
Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required
Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and be able to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on project
