The Packet Switch Core Senior Engineer will be a part of the Core Operations team, managing VFQA HSPA (SGSN, GGSN), LTE (MME, SGW, PGW), IMS/VoLTE (ePDG), DRA, PCRF/PCEF, PS Core DNS, Roaming Operations and reporting platforms, maintaining a 24/7 superior network KPIs with high availability of 99.99%, achieving quality leadership in a very competitive market.
With us you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and second level operational support of the wireless data network platforms. Being a multi-vendor environment, you will perform vendor management, incident management and SLA insurance as per the Vodafone policies.
Expert knowledge of PS Core call flows and scenarios as per 3GPP, GSMA IR, IEEE and ETSI standards
Analyze daily and weekly health checks reports for PS Core domain
Participate in carrying out Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and Major Incident Reviews. Provide Root Cause Analysis
Develop method of procedures for various PS Core services and change requests, utilizing automation scripts
Deploy & Integrate new nodes, execute & oversee acceptance process (SGSN/MME/SPGW/MURAL/PRIME/DNS/PCRF/DDE, etc.)
Responsible for Network Audit, Operational performance, Capacity, Trend, Risk and Gap analysis
Participate in an on-call Rota and flexible working hours (Night shifts as required)
المهارات
Apply if you have ..
Bachelor’s/ Engineering degree in IT/ Network/ Telecom
Minimum 7 years of experience in implementing PS Core networks with telecom networks
Multi-vendor Interoperability experiences (MUST : Cisco ASR5K, ASR5500, vMME/SGSN, vSPGW/GGSN, PRIME, MURAL, UCS) Nokia PCRF & DDE
Good knowledge of IP networking skills and Cloud/NVF/SDN solutions
Knowledge on Telco cloud networking, Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and software defined networking (SDN) will be add-on
Preferably ITIL foundation certified with good understanding of ITIL Service Operation like Incident and Problem management
