PAINTER

Ensure that protective covers are used in all vehicles before carrying out any repairs.
Prepare vehicle surfaces by filing, chiselling or sanding
Select or mix paint shades to match vehicle colour
Apply primer and finish coats with spray-guns, and rub down surfaces between coats
Remove protective covers, wax and polish finished paintwork
Ensure accurate time recording (clocking on and off) for all repairs.
Document completed work orders to include repairs conducted, parts required and labor involved, and any additional vehicle problems noted during repairs.
Ensure accurate time recording for all repairs completed.
Maintain tools to ensure serviceability.
Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
Ensure proper maintenance and serviceability of hand tools and personal work clothing
DENTER

Assess damage and the parts that will be needed and order parts as required.
Ensure that protective covers are used on all vehicles before carrying out any repairs.
Carry out necessary repairs on damaged vehicles in order to prepare the vehicle for painting.  This may include:
· Shaping and smoothing, metalworking, welding, putty filling and repairing and replacing of whole parts including parts made from steels, alloys, plastics and fibreglass.
Check work to ensure that panels line up and doors close correctly etc
Document completed work orders to include repairs conducted, parts required and labor involved, and any additional vehicle problems noted during repairs.
Ensure accurate time recording for all repairs completed.
Maintain tools to ensure serviceability.
POLISHER

· Received the car from paint section

· Check for overspray and excess paint and use appropriate sand paper to remove it.

· Inspect parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.

· Pre-soak or rinse machine parts, equipment, or vehicles by immersing objects in cleaning solutions or water, manually or using hoists

· Clean and polish vehicle windows.

· Scrub, scrape, or spray machine parts, equipment, or vehicles, using scrapers, brushes, clothes, cleaners, disinfectants, insecticides, acid, abrasives, vacuums, or hoses.

· Rinse objects and place them on drying racks or use cloth, squeegees, or air compressors to dry surfaces.

· Mix cleaning solutions, abrasive compositions, or other compounds, according to formulas.

· Monitor operation of cleaning machines and stop machines or notify supervisors when malfunctions occur.

· Lubricate machinery, vehicles, or equipment or perform minor repairs or adjustments, using hand tools

· Apply paints, dyes, polishes, reconditioners, waxes, or masking materials to vehicles to preserve, protect, or restore color or condition.

· Transport materials, equipment, or supplies to or from work areas, using carts or hoists.
