Purpose Responsible for meeting the sales targets of the organization through effective planning and budgeting.
Key Responsibility Area:
• Responsible and accountable for designing and implementing a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence
• Responsible and accountable for building and promoting strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
• Responsible and accountable for achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
• To determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing marketing strategies; analyzing trends and results.
• Responsible and accountable for establishing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
• Responsible for presenting sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
• Responsible for identifying emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
• Responsible for establishing and adjusting selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
• Responsible and accountable for preparing the Sales budget. Ensures expenses are within the budget by providing cost-effective controls on expenditure
• Responsible and accountable for periodically reviewing the performance of the team and ensuring they meet the objectives
• Responsible and accountable for identifying the training needs of subordinates, providing the requisite training internally or where possible externally
• Responsible for presenting periodic MIS reports of the department operations to the management
• Responsible for upholding the Vision, Mission and values of the organization
