Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide Electrical Site Inspections per site / project requirements. To coordinate with construction crew for on?going Electrical activities, including but not limited to material inspection, co-ordination with civil and other disciplines, installation, testing & commissioning, etc.

Assist Senior Electrical Engineer in reviewing all EPC Design contractor’s Electrical submissions and formally advise acceptability of details based on an overall knowledge of the services/utilities and the design basis for the Airport Works. Ensure the efficiency, quality and performance of the Electrical works to meet project objectives
To review the relevant documents prior to start of construction e.g. IFC, shop drawings and project specification etc.
Coordinate with project team in reviewing, monitoring and managing all work related to the implementation of the Electrical system of the Project
Working with other senior and junior staff in the review of electrical engineering calculations and the development in design document submittals
Serve as the Project Site Representative for all matters related to construction quality assurance of electrical works.
Responsible for implementations and monitoring of all electrical related works at site as per approved drawings and methods and safety rules.
Monitor the electrical works for conformance with the provisions of the Contract Documents, Work Method Statement and industry recognized best management practices.
Assist in the review and processing of all electrical technical submittals.
Coordinate and supervise the work of all electrical activities and operations. Coordinate also with all other disciplines - mechanical, civil/structural and architectural.
Assist in the response to Requests for Information (RFIs) that apply to electrical works.
Assist team in the review of contractors’ claims related to electrical works including recommendations, quantification of claim value and/or changes in schedules.
Witness testing and commissioning of the works.
Assist team in the review of all relevant drawings submitted by contractor in a timely manner, including the contractors’ as-built drawings.
Assist with the final inspection of the work. Review the adequacy and accuracy of punch lists. Monitor final completion of all electrical Works identified.
Ensuring that all activities related to the electrical packages are performed in accordance with the contract and the agreed Quality System requirements
Advise HSE manager to ensure all necessary safety measures are addressed in method statements as it relates to electrical work items
Liaise with and ensure a continuous flow of communication across projects and departments on all issues of substance.
Attend engineering meetings with design team, contractors and relevant sub-contractors
Review all final completion reports for the electrical packages against actual work and contract requirements
Ensure as-built drawings are furnished according to latest information from site

Qualification:
Qualifications BSc in Electrical engineering

Skills:
QA/QC of electrical works
Knowledge of commissioning electrical systems
LOTO knowledge
Management skills to lead a team of inspectors in field inspection and approvals of installed works
Computer skills to aid reporting.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Mechanical works construction projects in GCC preferably KSA.
Experience QA/QC is considered an asset.
