Job Summary
Timekeeper maintain an accurate track of hours worked for payroll purposes. They are liaisons between employees and payroll coordinators to ensure the smooth process of pay distribution. Calculating an employee’s time worked, production and commission are duties of a timekeeper.
Scope of Responsibilities
maintaining time sheets and accurately inputting time and attendance data into the computer.
verify attendance, hours worked and pay adjustments while tracking overtime hours and approving compensatory time earned.
responsible for keeping track of leave time such as vacation, holidays, personal or sick days for employees.
ensuring time sheets are submitted and received by employees on time to issue accurate payroll adjustments.
Primary Duties
support payroll department activities and efficiency by gathering and entering employee time and wage data within the department’s time management system.
Review Payroll Entries.
Calculate Wages and Deductions.
Computes total time worked by employees.
locate workers on jobs at various times to verify attendance of workers listed on daily spot sheet and be designated Spotter.
Record Employee Pay Data.
Monitor Reports for Discrepancies
Comply with company standards.
Maintain high level of confidentiality at all times.

· Proficiency in MS Office application
· Standard Accounting principles
· Strong Interpersonal skills with ability to influence, negotiate and problem solve.
· Skill in operating a personal computer, typewriter, and calculator.
· Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
