الوصف الوظيفي The Electrical Technicians report directly to the Maintenance Team Leader at the Power Plants. The Electrical Technician will fulfil the day to day electrical maintenance activities at their power plant. Additionally, the Electrical Technician is responsible to support the major outages of the plant, ensuring that the plant meets availability, reliability, efficiency, generation and cost targets, safely and within strict environmental limits. Sound electrical engineering foundation and practical knowledge of how it applies to modern power plant technologies Application of specialist skills such as HV work, protections, excitation equipment, Static frequency converters, and all Electrical systems. Knowledge of contractual obligations and the need to support Operations Department in achieving availability, output and efficiency targets. Power plant engineering concepts Strong understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment management systems and safety rules. Appreciation of budget constraints Ability to coordinate activities with Operations Department personnel Ability to give accurate feedback on equipment problems and suggest solutions Good command of the English language Good planning and reporting skills Good IT and interpersonal skills A Working experience and knowledge of computerised maintenance management systems.(CMMS) Ability to recognize safety issues and hazards to personnel, and to act on own initiative in preventing incidents Ability to work calmly in emergency situations and to recognize and attend to critical tasks Ability to work with multi cultural and multi – disciplinary staff Seek, organize and exchange information for decision making and problem solving Ability to create a climate of open communication on personal and professional issues Ability to work autonomously, prioritising tasks and activities in line with business objectives Quality and environmental awareness and managing according to quality standards and procedures Innovation, vision, creativity, taking initiative, problem solving and decision making Ability to build effective relationships with superiors and colleagues Ability to work under pressure - especially during unplanned incidents and events. Key Responsibilities: Adhere to routine plant maintenance plans through the use of CMMS and plan when required. Support successful preparations and completion of planned shutdowns and unplanned shutdowns Implement electrical engineering best practices in accordance with OEM and international standards Support the implementation of a Long Term engineering strategic plan. Become suitably Authorized under the Safety System to assist in Permit To Work Applications, process and management. Recognize faults and their causes, and propose solutions as well as implement at anytime as required by plant operations to keep highest availability performance Undertake advanced condition monitoring techniques in fields such as: thermographs, vibration analysis, transformer oil analysis, etc Use specialist individual skills such as HV work, protections, excitation equipment, etc when necessary Support life cycle management for all electrical systems Support completion of planned shutdowns within time and budget Support Operations Department in the safe and efficient delivery of high levels of commercial availability within environment limits Liaise with Operations Dept. in investigation of suspected equipment problems and in appropriate testing of equipment after any repairs before the equipment returns to service Make decisions, or assist others to make decisions, to resolve plant maintenance problems with immediate, medium and long term consequences Attend at any time to the plant for troubleshooting or repair to minimize failures to plant availability. Support in the development of work Instructions as required. Be an active part of the maintenance team and help it to meet appropriate people and plant related performance measures Ensure Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures are followed. Participate in internal / external Quality, HS&E;audits and monitor relevant findings Help ensure all procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals are kept up to date and necessary training is completed in a timely manner Participate in suitable training programs, both for individual development and engineering competence, and develop knowledge and experience in colleagues Work within budgets for maintenance and provide feedback on expenditure, explaining variances, potential risks and/or problems and recommending solutions Support an environment and mechanism where communication and cooperation between the Maintenance and Operation teams, as well as with Admin Staff, is maintained at excellent levels Continues improvement in the process of work. Any other tasks that may be required. المهارات An accredited Degree/Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or): Time served Apprenticeship (or) Demonstrated competence at engineering level with adequate education and training supported. Experience: Experience preferred in CCGT, Gas Turbines, and a wide range of auxiliary equipment. Experience with GE gas turbines would be a particular advantage. Experience of setting-up and / or mobilizing an O&M;company in the field of power projects would be an advantage. Experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.
