Key Responsibilities: Safe and efficient delivery of high levels of commercial availability within environment limits Maintaining high standards of management and leadership and ensures all relevant Operational KPI’s are delivered. Ensure that efficiency and availability targets are effectively communicated and achieved. Control and continuously improve the chemistry at site as well as the environmental aspects fulfilling the applicable legislation and reporting requirements. Effective liaison with customer and system operator over plant operational issues Establish and deliver, all Operational Department requirements and systems Make decisions, or assist others to make decisions, to resolve plant operational problems with immediate, medium and long term consequences Lead and motivate the team by setting appropriate people and plant related performance measures Deliver outcomes, in all areas of work, consistent with the Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies Ensure Company Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures are implemented and carried out. Support the field operations when required. Establish the Site Safety system, providing ‘Safety from the System’ by implement the PFW procedures, managing the Authorisation process and ensure staff are fully trained in the Safety System principles. Participate in internal / external Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental audits and monitor relevant findings Ensure all procedures, documentation, drawings and manuals are kept up to date and necessary training is completed in a timely manner Develops the required Procedures for the plant safe operation. Ensure suitable training programs are in place, both for individual development and operational competence, and develop appropriate succession plans for key shift staff Deliver planned generation and availability targets within budget Communication and cooperation between the Maintenance and Operation teams Budget planning and preparation. Continues improvement in the process of work. Ensure best utility practices and reporting requirements are followed, and operation processes comply with relevant IMA procedures Adapt the IMA documents to reflect the operations requirements, and consider and actively develop improvement potentials for all maintenance processes Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company and legislative, Health, Safety & Environmental requirements Recruit, train, develop and guide staff, and periodically assess their ability and potential Work with other members of the team to maintain good relations with the Customer and other parties Manage Plant operational costs, prepare, agree and then control the Operations Department budget Safe and efficient delivery of high levels of commercial availability within environment limits Enthusiastically take on, any other tasks that may be required. المهارات A degree in Engineering/Electrical (or) Industrial, military, marine or utility training in power generation (or) Accredited Engineering Diploma will be suitable if accompanied by the relevant experience Experience: Experience preferred in CCGT, Gas Turbines and a wide range of auxiliary equipment. Budget establishment, management and reporting Preference for candidate having established an Operations Department in a New Plant. At least seven years’ experience in Operation of Plants or large continuous process plants, including commissioning At least five years’ experience in line management Must have been fully authorized upto SAP HV levels and Grid Authorized to carry out application of local isolations on Grid Extra high Voltage circuits.
