MAIN
PURPOSE OF JOB
The Trainer reports and receives daily management from
the Operations Manager with a dotted line reporting to T&E;Manager type 1
clinics (Global).
Train and support the (health care) employees during
their career at Diabetes Clinics. Ensure the training of employees with the aim
of keeping the quality and development of the care of employees within Diabetes
Clinics.
MAIN JOB
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Expertise
Training
new clinic employees to the desired level within our Diabetes Clinics
Develop
and apply redevelopment in staff: guidance, retraining, coaching and support of
employees.
Communication
Work in
close collaboration with the T&E;Manager Type 1 Clinics (Global), in the
development of training that develops new and existing staff and equips them to
undertake their work
Discussion
about training and coaching with the relevant employee(s)
Obtain
effective, relevant information by actively listening and summarizing.
Working Together
Consultation
on training and development affairs with the QIC, Head Nurses and Head
Department and other staff members.
Organization
Develop
learning plans for all new employees, develop e-learning content for Learning
Management System and develop content for face to face training and other
modalities.
Deliver
face to face training and presentations to all levels of clinical and
non-clinical personnel.
Responsibility
for maintenance of content of Learning Management System (LMS) and allocation
of learning plans dependent on job specification
Supporting,
coaching and advisory role training new clinic employees
Designing
a training plan for each new employee, assign a buddy and consult with trainee
and buddy about progress regularly
Maintaining
and developing the competence statements, monitoring quality of education,
planning and training
Provide
support to existing employees, new employees’ buddies, students and provide
training related to the Quality Management System (QMS). The work is guided
according to the current protocols.
Coordination
and driving development and documentation of care pathways, procedures and
instructions. Implement and provide information on new technical developments
that should be applied
Contribute
to maintaining the QMS care-related part of the manual for training and
development
Support
the development of patient training curriculum, materials and resources and
utilise a ‘train the trainer’ approach to support clinical staff in deploying
these.
To provide direct line management to Diabetes Educators in
Diabetes 360.
Social action
Critically
assess medical and nursing information regarding education and training
Participate
in the development of scientific knowledge about diabetes and in promoting the
improvement of this subject knowledge.
Develop
and maintain personal and professional education and training plans for clinic
staff
Promote
the expertise of students, colleagues, patients and other others involved in
care and care providers for diabetes.
Professionalism
Provide
outstanding support to new employees and students
Display
personal and interpersonal communication skills and professional behaviour
Know the
boundaries of their own competence and act within them.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma
in Nursing/Registered (GNM) Nurse, preferably with the certification
paediatric nursing
Additional
training as a diabetes nurse/educator would be an asset. This training can
be followed (in consultation and planning) at our facilities in Diabeter,
The Netherlands
>3 years
expertise in the field of diabetes care
Has
a thorough knowledge of the healthcare environment and has insight into
treatment theories, treatment methods and course of the disease
Experience
in leadership, “Train the Trainer” concepts are desirable.
