RESPONSIBILITIES: Undertakes Civil, Structural / Mechanical / Piping / Electrical / Instrument / Static / Rotating / Welding / Painting and Insulation inspection. Prepares inspection reports outlining specific recommendations and liaises with maintenance engineers and field supervisors regarding their implementations. Good knowledge of international codes and standards regarding Petrochemical Plant. Good knowledge of QA/QC techniques Monitors heat treatment of piping, vessels, and equipment. Witnesses’’ hydrostatic and/or pneumatic tests on static equipment. Performs welder performance and welding procedure qualification records review. Monitor all aspects of welding operation on new or existing equipment. Evaluates equipment for fitness for service based on API 510 criteria. Assists Risk Based Inspection Assessments by providing required data. Performs applicable duties required of an Inspector within the assigned inspection discipline and certification limitations. Trains personnel to develop technical ability and understanding of applicable codes, standards, inspection methods in various disciplines and NDT methods. Prepares inspection reports, pre & post T&I;reports, worksheets, non compliance reports and makes logbook entries f on-site inspection findings, as appropriate ensuring that all hard copy and electronic databases are initiated and maintained Competencies: Knowledge of recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice, regulations and codes. Knowledge of root cause failure analysis techniques, inspection techniques (x-ray, NDT, etc.) corrosion, cathodic protection, etc. Excellent analytical and computer skills Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills |
