Job Purpose: •Lead, and manage the Information Technology department team. •To direct and control the development, implementation and maintenance of the IT systems, policies and procedures to support the achievement of the business objectives of the company. •Plan, initiate, implement and manage information technology (IT) projects. Serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects. Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. Key Activities/Tasks/Duties: o Develop and implement an information technology strategy to support the financial and business objectives of the company. o To lead, manage, direct and develop the information technology team. o Recruit, hire, supervise, performance manage, motivate and appraise the team members to deliver the department goals and objectives of ensuring quality implementation of IT policies and operations. -Set employees’ performance goals that are derived from the department’s KPI’s. -Provide necessary coaching to employees during the performance cycle. -Evaluate / appraise the employee’s performance periodically. -Set the employee’s development plans at the end of the performance cycle. o Provide guidance on IT approaches and standards, and lead the team’s capacity development. o Provide all necessary support to the IT department team and help resolve all issues and conflicts that may arise as a result of the day-to-day operations. o Establish and maintain all necessary information technology procedures and ensure that all systems are supported by the necessary documentation and manuals. o Help to define IT training needs and provide training as required to ensure the most effective use of computer systems. o Manage IT projects execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope. o Analyze current business processes and provide solutions to automate and enhance them. o Develop a program of maintenance and support for all IT systems to ensure a minimum of downtime and fast resolution of any problems. o Develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, funding, and staffing. o Monitor or track IT project milestones and deliverables. o Confer with department heads and IT project personnel to identify and resolve problems related to the delivery of the services of the IT Department. o Submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards. o Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. o Schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects. o Identify, review, or select vendors or consultants to meet the IT Department requirements or needs. o Continue SAP Development, customization, enhancement and ensure the smooth, effective and efficient daily operations in the company. o Provide a source of advice to managers and staff on information technology issues. o Maintain an awareness of new developments in information technology and ensure that the company makes the best use of any such developments. |
