Track Maintenance Inspector

Job Description and Requirements
Role Summary:

SAR is looking for a mid-level track maintenance inspector to carry out the track inspections and identify the maintenance requirements.

The purpose of this role is to inspect SAR assets to identify and take appropriate against any defect found to prevent incidents or deterioration of assets.

This position reports into the Track Maintenance Supervisor and requires experience in working under the maintenance department of the track.

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure assets being inspected are fit for the passage of trains
Ensure adequate action is taken to protect traffic from serious defects found during patrol by the imposition of speed restriction or line blockage
Ensure all defects identified are reported to Track Section Supervisor for timely repair
Work in accordance with SAR Standards and Procedures
Be able to make correct decisions to protect trains from incidents
​Essential Requirments:

Minimum of 3 years of track maintenance experience
PA & Track Inspection Course
Must be able to accurately report defects to Section Supervisor and Assistant Section Supervisor, Team Leaders and OCC.
