Corrosion Protection Engineer Specialist

الوصف الوظيفي
Responsible for review of data relating to corrosion of materials, protective coatings, and cathodic protection. Make recommendations to the suitability of materials of specific applications. Organizational Relationship: Reports to the Director, Engineering Department. Interfaces with other RC/MSC Departments Major Activities Performed: Review data relating to corrosion of materials, protective coatings and cathodic protection.
Recommend the suitability of various materials for specific applications.
Review contractor’s procedures for the application and installation of protective coatings and cathodic protection systems.
Coordinate with other departments in matters relating to corrosion and protection of materials.
Review the activities of the independent testing laboratory, corrosion or metallurgy.
Coordinate with quality control personnel in the areas of corrosion and materials.
Conduct inspection to determine the extent of corrosion and make recommendations for corrective maintenance.
Prepare technical correspondence, reports and studies.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Additional duties and responsibilities per the attached sheet.
المهارات
This position is designated for Saudi national young engineers.
Bachelor Degree in Chemical or Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering with 0-2 years of corrosion of materials experience. Only candidates who have GPA of 3/4 or 4/5 will be considered.
Knowledge of computers and basic software applications: MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
