الوصف الوظيفي Investigates and treats all surgical patients with generally considered to be in the field of Orthopaedic as referred to him/her. Determines the need for operations in such patients, and operates upon them, if within his competence of arranges their transfer to a centre where they can be treated and cared for postoperatively, including follow-up care as indicated. 4.3 Abide by the Policies and Procedures of the hospital and of the Orthopaedic Department, the By-Laws and Rules and Regulations of the medical staff, the goals and mission of the SFHP-D, the provision of high standards of health care as specified’ by AlAS. Records all data on patient care in the patient’s medical record ill accordance with the minimum standard of the AlAS. 4.5 Review discharge summaries, death reports, operative reports, replies to Ministry of Interior inquiries, and prepares other reports and statistical analysis as required of him; such reports will be prepared in an expeditious manner in accordance with the standards of the Department of Orthopedic and the AlAS. 4.6 Serves on committees as appointed & requested by the Director of Medical Affairs/or Director of Medical Units or by the Head of Orthopedic Unit. 4.7 Performs other duties as may ethically be required of him from time to time by those in authority in the Orthopaedic Unit or in the hospital administration. Supervise all activities of the junior staff assigned to him including educational activities and training of the Residents registered in the training program. Share actively in patient & family education in collaboration with all related other healthcare givers. Comply with the standards laid down by the Central Board for Accreditation of Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) and Joint Commission International Accreditation Standards (JCIA), performs the duties necessary to support and achieve accreditation. Perform other applicable tasks and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities. Through the chain of command and/or occurrence variance report, identifies any occurrence not consistent with the operation of the hospital or standard of service for patients, employees or visitors and situations that put patients, staff or visitors at risk for injury or other harm. Participates in patient safety and family education program. المهارات Saudi Board, Arab Board or equivalent degree recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Maintains a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties license (SCFHS) as Orthopaedic Consultant. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years’ experience practicing as Consultant for a new contract as Consultant. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience working as Senior Registrar for any promotion to Consultant post. SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE: Must be emotionally stable and in good physical health. Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint Presentations, Outlook and Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely in both Arabic and English.
