1. Arranging technical Submittals and Meetings, including, but not limited to, vendor drawings, calculation sheets, test reports/evaluation, technical clarifications, quality dossiers, kick-off meetings, client/3rd party inspector queries and other related documents/activities.
2. Issuance of Production Releases, which includes, fabrication drawings, bill of materials, nesting, coating requirements, assembly drawings, etc.
3. Preparation of raw material requirements, coordinating with Sales team, both for existing and anticipated projects, and issuance/release of material requisitions (MR) to Purchasing department as needed.
4. Assess and provide resolutions with regards to raw material, fabrication and quality issues as raised by Suppliers, Production and Quality Teams.
5. Product development, from the design/conceptual stage to actual production run, which includes coordinating with raw material suppliers, discussions with Production Team for preparation of die sets/equipment, arrangements with QA Team for internal type tests and 3rd party tests.
6. Design of non-catalogued materials as per client’s special requirement and match-up with Cable Management System production capacity.
7. Assist Sales team during Technical Bid Evaluations, addition/deletion of materials, and other technical support during negotiation.
8. Provide suggestions, proposals, and ideas to Production and Sales Team to increase efficiency and minimize cost.
9. Design Engineer has to perform all duties assigned by Chief Design Engineer.
