Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide service in accordance with standard practices to meet client s request and contract specifications.
Good understanding of all geotechnical methods and design practices and Fugro procedures for engineering analysis and reporting
Study and understand projects requirements, organise and implement appropriate techniques as needed to develop engineering reports in consultation with Senior Engineers and Geologists and Engineering Manager.
Assists in the planning, prepare method statements and quality plans for field investigations and supervise personnel in the field and office on project basis as instructed by Senior Engineer.
Follow up on a project and liaise with project manager or site engineer to ensure all engineering requirements are met with during field work and all field tests and sample collection are completed in accordance with project requirements.
Responsible for the data management from site and within the laboratory and office to ensure that all data collected are reported in correct formats; check all borehole logs and the field and lab test data and schedules and laboratory program to be in accordance with codes and practices, and obtain approval from client.
Discuss the report structure with Senior Engineers and also with client and prepare Factual and Interpretative Engineering Report. Develop foundation soil parameters, design assessment, engineering analyses and prepare final report for approval. Review and check report and engineering analyses of others as peer reviewer.
Control quality of works during a project. Inform Senior Engineers and Engineering Manager to take immediate corrective action and address to project team members in case of deviation.
Provide support to Senior Engineer and Senior Engineering Geologists to obtain approval from client for final reports.
Product Manager for selected Fugro products and thereby gaining expertise through literature and/or studies. Utilise Fugro learning portals to develop and share knowledge.
Updated and actively contribute to implementation of published Quality Assurance, Health, Safety and Environmental procedures in the work place.
Liaise with Commercial Department for any contractual / commercial issues

Ensure that Fugro policies and procedures are understood, implemented and adhered to by all employees.
Employees are expected to work in accordance with Fugro Procedures, in order to achieve consistent and sustainable results. Non-conformance with the processes and procedures may result in disciplinary measures being taken.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience
Bachelor in Civil Engineering. Master in Geotechnical Engineering will be added advantage.
At least 5 years experience Civil and Geotechnical Engineering. Hands on experience in preparation of geotechnical engineering reports and foundation designs, understanding field data and derivation of engineering parameters and performing required engineering analysis and reporting in accordance with accepted practices and project requirements.
Fluent in English, with excellent report writing skills and communication skills.
Keep updated on new technical resources and geotechnical advance.
