Your Main Responsibilities
• ADVISES ON TECHNICAL PROBLEMS OF REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF TURBO JET TURBO FAN AND JET ENGINES
• REMOVES, INSTALLS, INSPECTS, REPAIRS,TESTS JET ENGINES, INCLUDING SMALL GAS TURBINE ENGINES
• PERFORMS AND SUPERVISES TEST STAND FUNCTIONS ON AIRCRAFT JET, TURBO JET AND TURBO FAN ENGINES
• INSPECTS JET ENGINES AND RELATED EQUIPMENT
• SUPERVISES JET ENGINE MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL
Your Skills & Qualifications
Essential
• Knowledge of technical orders, regulations, manuals and procedures governing identification of discontinuities and flaws in metallic and non metallic parts; operation and maintenance of non destructive inspection test and oil analysis equipment; storage, use and disposition of acids, solvents and cleaning agents; radiological safety and operating procedures; safety codes and practices; concepts and application of RSAFM4-7166 series and supporting publications; ferrous and nonferrous metal characteristics and metal processing principles is mandatory
• Ideally will have an RB199 & Adour Uninstalled Test facility Experience. 2yrs experience of New & Old UETF facility is required
• A 12th grade education with courses in mathematics,physics
• Experience in performing functions in an engine shop environment is advisable
• Completion of a suitable engine trade course is mandatory either military or civilian
• Current and continued certification, in accordance with RSAFM 4-7166-38 is mandatory
• Normal color vision and visual accruity test are mandatory
