Your Main Responsibilities
• Liaise with RSAF Instructors to ensure training objectives and purposes are achieved through curriculum development process.
• Advise on RSAF Test and Evaluation Trials for current and future RSAF Aircraft and Weapon Systems
• Develop, implement and manage Weapons School curriculum infrastructure and configuration management system.
• Develop IT systems to improve the efficiency of RSAFWS aircrew training and currency management
• Evaluate the deficiencies of training programs and provide solutions for improvement.
• Confer with Commander and conduct surveys to identify training needs.
• Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
Your Skills & Qualifications
• BUSINESS EXPERTISE (company/industry knowledge):
• Ex-military aircrew with supervisory and management/leadership experience in aircraft operations and/or training.
• FUNCTIONAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED (qualifications/experience):
• Aircrew Weapons Instructor with post graduate qualifications eg QWI, EWI, Aero systems Graduate.
• Degree in Aerospace Technologies.
• NATURE OF IMPACT (on the overall business, e.g. tactical, strategic, responsibility for business area):
• Job holder is to Ensure / perform reviews, revisions, updating, and development of course materials and manage all academics, multiple advanced syllabi and supporting academic documents.
• AREA OF IMPACT: (where is the influence of the role felt):
• The Job is integrated with the Multimedia Courseware Design Specialist.
• SPECIALIST SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Knowledge of Aerospace Technologies: Aerodynamics, Avionics, Sensors, Navigation Systems, Communication systems and weaponry.
• Knowledge of Military Aviation Tactics and Weapon Employment.
• Knowledge of Electronic Warfare Systems.
• Ability to instruct, either in an instructor led environment or self-paced, at an advanced technological level on specialist subjects.
• Ability to Interface with RSAF Weapon Instructors through similar training, knowledge and experience.
• Conceptualize aircrew training demands and portray through representative training aids, i.e. diagrammatically, simulation and animation.
• Knowledge and experience of Aircraft, Aircraft Systems and Weapon trials procedures.
• Knowledge and Experience of Instructional System Design Procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office to provide expert advice to RSAF.
• Expert Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, in particular aviation terminology and definitions, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to training issues.
• Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or instructing.
