Our client is looking for a Pit Slitter Lead Operator to join their operations in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
• Leads all activities related to shift operations of the assigned Pit Slitter lines.
• Controls the operations of the PTS line to ensure that all production activities are carried out safely and efficiently to meet operational targets according to standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does.
• Identify and evaluate potential / existing safety problems, suggesting solutions and recommending suitable corrective measures
• Implements general activities such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), problem solving and 5S in assigned area.
• Must be certified Work Permit Issuer/Receiver.
• Implements work schedule/activities assigned to the team during maintenance down days and shutdowns as per plan, organizes team members to carry out these tasks in an orderly and safe manner to accomplish the tasks on time.
• Checks production schedule and coordinates with all shop floor operators for problem free production run.
• Coordinates activities of main pulpit, entry, process, exit and packing line operators during line running.
• Responsible for line operation such as material tracking, monitoring of required and achieved process parameters and take necessary corrective/preventive actions during processing as required.
• Responsible for monitoring process result data by updating and sending to MES.
• Reports any line abnormality to Can Sheet Supervisor.
• Minimizes operating costs by controlling delays and optimizing the use of operating materials and supplies.
• Maintains safe working condition in the shop floor and follow safe working procedures and instructions.
• Identifies operation and quality issues/problems and report to Operation Supervisor for immediate action.
Experience & Qualifications
• Diploma in Engineering or minimum high school is requirements
• Minimum 8 years operational experience in finishing line.
• Detailed technical knowledge of the specific process being operated is required.
• Must possess problem solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have good communication skills in written & oral in English.
