Our client is looking for a High Speed Slitter Operator to joining their operations in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
• Controls the operations of the High Speed Slitter line to ensure that all production activities are carried out safely and efficiently to meet operational targets according to standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does.
• Cooperates with EHS team about any action they take to comply with the EHS Act or Regulations.
• Actively participate in implementation of Maaden Safety Policy by example and communication to subordinates.
• Implements general activities such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), problem solving and 5S in assigned area.
• Performs any additional tasks assigned by Senior Operator or the Shift Supervisor Operations.
• Responsible for selection and inspection of coils for processing. Operates entry or preparation station equipment.
• Prepares and performs slitter knife and separator arm (in Pit slitter) setting according to production schedule.
• Maintains proper inventory of slitter/separator arms tooling such as knives, spacers, bonded stripper rings and separator discs. Send knives and bonded stripper rings for grinding when required.
• Prepares and performs separator arm setting and maintain inventory of tooling and packing materials required. Prepares wooden skids/pallets to be used.
• Checks production schedule and coordinate activities of main pulpit, entry, process, exit and packing line operators during line running.
• Responsible for line operation such as material tracking, monitoring of required and achieved process parameters and take necessary corrective/preventive actions during processing as required.
• Responsible for monitoring process result data and reports any line abnormality to Main Operator or Shift Supervisor and maintaining production records and check lists.
• Record all packed coils in logbook.
Experience & Qualifications
• Minimum high school is required. Minimum computer knowledge required.
• Minimum 5 years operational experience in finishing line. Detailed technical knowledge of the specific process being operated is required.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must have good communication skills in written & oral in English.
