- Our client is looking for a Lead Network & System Technician to join their operations in Saudi Arabia.
Job Description
Works under the standards established by the organization to apply computer technology including hardware, software, and networking to solve manufacturing problems in a safe, economical, and timely fashion. This includes but not limited to the following:
• Managing AD users.
• Managing Network Switches Backup and Restore.
• Installing cables.
• Checking and troubleshooting Internet Connections.
• Knowledge (in depth) of the Network Cabling. The drawings be as-built.
• Troubleshooting PC for Process Network both Software and Hardware issues.
• Issuing Door Access Card for employees.
• Maintains H/W and S/W inventory.
• Responsible to deliver such other functions as assigned by the Section Head, MES from time to time.
Responsibilities
• Takes reasonable care for his health and safety in the workplace. He must also take reasonable care for the health and safety of others who may be affected by what he does.
• Cooperates with EHS team about any action they take to comply with the EHS Act or Regulations.
• Maintains relationship with end customers, including location MES staff, and business process owners within areas of accountability.
• Ensures that all works are carried out as per the agreed processes to meet control objectives.
• Monitors Symantec Backup Systems for scheduled backups, re-running the backup if needed due to some errors and faults.
• Periodically closes assessment technical points
• Achieves high MES UP time
• Supports Business Network End-users (Cisco Phones, Email Configuration, Printer Connectivity, Cable Pulling and Terminations)
• Works with other resources such as ITCSS and vendors
• Performs system configuration and troubleshooting, as and when needed.
Experience & Qualifications
• Computer Science/Information Technology degree/diploma
• Minimum 7+ years experience in Computer Hardware Troubleshooting, Computer assembly (Clone and Branded PC s).
• Experience in Hardware Configuration (Network LAN Configuration, Video Card Configuration, Modem Configuration, Network Printer Configuration.
• Familiarity with CISCO ROUTERS and SWITCHES and FIBER OPTIC CONNECTIONS (FIBER OPTIC MEDIA CONVERTERS and CABLES).
• Able to lay Software Installation and configuration (Win95, Win98, Win2000Pro,Windows XP Pro and Home Edition, Windows Vista, Office 97, Office2000, Office XP, Office 2003, 2007 and 2010)
• Able to handle Multi-Function Printers brands such as XEROX, KONICA MINOLTA and NASHUATEC.
