“Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with QHSE management and follow up work orders with production team for the purpose of scheduling and performing in-process, final inspection and testing for all products and welded and fabricated equipment
• Coordinate with NDT coordinators and inspectors to verify each weld is properly tested and passed prior to backfill.
• Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, engineering design data, manuals, or other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment methods, certification processes, formulas, or measuring instruments required.
• Ensure the welding processes are performed in a safe manner, both health and environmentally , utilizing the proper equipment.
• Perform dimensional and visual inspection on welded products in progress and the welding techniques of welders on work in progress to ensure the quality of the work as well as conformance to specifications and governing codes.
• Suspend or remove weld certification from employees who are not meeting the quality standards/procedures and violate governing codes.
• Plan and conduct final analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
• Review all welded products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept or reject the product.

• Ability to safely use specified hand, air, power tools, and machinery.
• Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
• Hand-Eye coordination and ability to work in noisy and dusty conditions.
• Must not be allergic to smoke, grinding and fiberglass dust.
