Requirements:
-A minimum of 2 to 4 years of manufacturing and/or industrial experience
-High school diploma or GED.
-Specialized certification preferred.
-Previous work experience as a metal fabricator.
-Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.
-Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.
-Proficiency with metal fabrication tools including shears, rollers, cutters, and drill presses.
-Proficiency in operating heavy machinery.
-Excellent eyesight and color vision.
-Good dexterity.
-Attention to detail.
-Good organizational skills.
Job Purpose
Gas appliance service technicians must keep abreast of manufacturer service bulletins and be knowledgeable in the diagnosis, service, and repair of the general electronic components to keep gas appliances in good working order.
Duties:

-Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints.
-Marking cutting lines on material.
-Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in.
-Ensuring that quality control standards are met.
-Maintaining a production schedule.
-Double-checking design specifications before commencing with cutting work.
-Fabricating and constructing metal components.
