Duties and Responsibilities
Manage deck operations during either pipe lay or construction modes of operation.
Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in all rigging and lifting activities, to ensure compliance with safety procedures and method statements.
Familiar with heavy lift plans and procedures.
Control all crane lifting operations, or designate the same to qualified others.
Control or designate all mooring operations of the barge during set up and recoveries.
Ensure there are adequate, qualified crews to carry out safe and efficient operations.
Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established HSES Safety Standards and Work Practices.
Ensuring that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all safety and quality requirements.
Organizing and distributing above deck activities with Rigging Crews.
Following all company policies and procedures, an ensuring junior reports do the same.
