Director - Control Tower (Business Intelligence)

About the Role:
Is responsible for developing strategies in relation to creation, development and management of various dashboards based on business needs. The role holder will manage a team of analysts to help deliver the requirements. He/She would interface with the management team/key stakeholders from different functions to collate, present and review the data.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Management
Lead the identification, elicitation of market and business-driven requirements; conduct analysis of those requirements for accuracy and alignment to the enterprise; document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project and coordinate the verification of the end deliverable. Typically working on an organization change or business transformation teams.
Data Collection and Analysis
Make authoritative recommendations that have a significant impact on the business over the short and long term. Recommendations could be technical or professional in nature.
Database Specifications
Approve complex database specifications, ensuring all agreed standards and protocols are followed and data integrity is preserved. And suggest improvements for standards and protocols for database specifications.
Analysis of “As Is” and “To Be”
Document the most complex “as is” and “to be” processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the “to be” capability to record accurately the change required.
Business Requirements Identification
Elicit the most complex business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
Feasibility Studies
Lead conducting the most complex feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective and document findings to complete cost-benefit analysis on implementing changes to business processes, products, or business unit structure.
Horizon Scanning
Explore and develop a detailed understanding of external developments or emerging issues and evaluate their potential impact on, or usefulness to, the organization.
Enterprise Business Analysis
Recognize business needs and determine solutions to business problems at the business unit strategic level that impede alignment throughout the organization. Determine best approach to create and maintain alignment throughout the organization and lead and coordinate the business unit wide improvement efforts for the work.
Business Case
Lead the development, presentation, and continuous review of project business cases for a complex, high-value program or small portfolio; make evidence- based recommendations on the initiation and termination of key projects.
Documentation and Back up
Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
Culture of Innovation
Drive a culture of innovation by creating multi-stakeholder solutions that boost creativity, innovation, and collaboration across business units, such as idea generation platforms, jam sessions, and hackathons.
Personal Capability Building
Act as subject matter expert in a broad area of technology, policy, regulation, or operational management for the organization. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging technologies, external regulation, and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Experience:
General Experience
Substantial general work experience together with comprehensive job related experience in own area of expertise to fully competent level. (Over 6 years to 10 years).
Managerial Experience
Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives as specified by more senior managers (Over 3 years to 6 years).
