Reports to:
Head of Building Codes
Role Purpose:
To help establish and operate the Office of Codes and Standards in various fields of structural concrete , Technologies , materials , systems and applications.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
: - Lead the development of cutting-edge Codes and standards tailored to fit NEOM requirements
in various fields of structural concrete , Technologies , materials , systems and applications
; and lead the phasis and steps for code development process - Develop the capability to assess and compare technical documents (codes and standards, procedures) from international organizations including but not limited to: IBC, ACI, ASTM, PCI, PTI, PCA and AASHTO. - Ensure that the relevant codes/standards/Procedures promote state-of-the-art technologies, encourages innovations, and plays as a catalyst for sustainable development and quality infrastructure to keep NEOM as the best futurist destination. - Work with cross-functional committees with members from industry, professional associations, academia, and government - Perform other related duties, as assigned, including making presentations to teammates and NEOM Sectors and Departments. - Support teammates to effectively improve team performance. - Actively participates in the department’s strategic planning and implementation
BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
* 15+ years’ proven Engineering experience encompassing consultancy and research, related to the scope of work. * Expert knowledge of the Concrete related standards from international organizations including but not limited to IBC, ACI, ASTM, PCI, PTI, PCA and AASHTO. * Ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines. * A highly collaborative, open mindset, and strong communication skills. Able to build effective working relations with multiple stakeholders within NEOM and beyond
Qualifications and Experience.
* Master or a higher degree in Civil Engineering-Materials and structures branch from an accredited University. * A proven registration and/or license in relevant professional societies or standardization body. * Demonstrated skills in communication, good relationship building, and interpersonal skills. * Published research into structural concrete fields, attendance on training courses, special educational programs in these fields * Fluent in English, oral and scientific writing (required)
