POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the EHS Support Services Manager, the primary goal of the Industrial Hygiene (IH) Technician, is to support the implementation of a robust Industrial Hygiene program throughout JIGPC Facilities. The selected candidate will support the implementation and maintenance of the IH program, reporting and monitoring of employee health & exposure and conduct IH sampling as required. Additionally, this individual is also expected to follow up on any corrective actions and plans resulting from incidents and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve any field issues.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
This opportunity is for a key member of the JIGPC EHSSQ Team as well as supporting overall operations, maintenance, construction, commissioning, and start-up team. Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:
Conducts IH health program assessments for JIGPC organization to recognize, eliminate, and control occupational health hazards and diseases: evaluate and analyses the results of environmental samples of dust, gases, vapors, and other potentially toxic materials;

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Science Degree, CSP, or NEBOSH Diploma.
Current or the ability to obtain KSA NRRC Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) Certification
Knowledge of occupational health standards, codes, and regulations.
Knowledge of methods, procedures, and techniques used in collecting and testing samples such as dusts, mists, fumes, vapors, noise, non-ionizing radiation, cold, and heat stress and biological agents.
Knowledge of toxicological effects of occupational hazards.
Skill in analyzing and evaluating a wide variety of technical data, test results, reports, and plans.
Skill in the operation and maintenance of a variety of monitoring and testing equipment.
Skill in both verbal and written communication.
Strong communicator written and oral
Strong understanding of respiratory protection programs.
Strong Microsoft software skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Middle East working experience
Experience of working through commissioning and start-up phases
5+ years of IH implementation experience in an industrial environment
Thorough knowledge of international standards for management of Health, Safety, Environment and Risk such as OSHA, NFPA, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
Works autonomously, reliably communicating upwards when appropriate.
