programmers are responsible for programming assembly lines, robotic devices, or othermanufacturing processes using programmable logic controllers (PLC’s). This role is ideal for a detailoriented,logical thinker who enjoys working with different machines in combination with computers.1. Development of PLC software using automation software such as Siemens Step 7 or TIA Portal todesign an automated process according to technical documents. To do so the PLC programmerneeds a lot of process technology based knowledge about electrics and mechanics.2. Aside from using PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, sequential function charts,function block diagram, structured text, and instruction lists, PLC programmers use rational stepsand mathematical concepts to design project flows.3. PLC programmers have a strong understanding of the electrical, mechanical, and softwareengineering principles needed to create and maintain automated processes.4. In projects with many parts and a combination of software and electro-mechanical interfaces,things are bound to go wrong. PLC programmers must identify any problem’s source and createthe best solution.5. Programming of inverters, servo controllers, regulators and other electrical and electronicaldevices within the project is also part of the PLC programmer’s job.6. Testing and simulating of the automated process with the PLC software.7. Erection and commissioning of automated systems.8. Providing of technical support to customers by phone, email and on-site.

Work with other integrators/companies to deliver solutions/ integrate their products.11. Responsible for day to day business correspondence, recording of proceedings, meetings and allother administrative duties as per company’s procedures.12. Computer skills, especially in Word, Excel and MS Office software.
